Everything you need to know about a spending your summer in London

Hey guys!

So happy to be back. I haven't posted in a while but I am so excited to finally post about my study abroad this summer. Here is some tips on living in London and just some things I wish I knew before studying abroad!

1. London is expensive

From buying a travel pass either monthly or weekly to eating out budgeting is so important. How I budgeted was setting an allowance for myself every week and only giving myself a certain amount of money to spend on food and other extracurriculars.

2. Don't just talk to your American friends!

Make new friends while you're abroad. This is your opportunity to gain some unique experiences in London. My friends and I always went to pubs to meet people and they showed us different parts of London we never would've thought about going to! Of course be careful and aware of your surroundings and just use your own street smarts to make sure you trust the people you're talking to!

3. Don't just go to the typical tourist places

Go to more than just the typical touristy places. Some of my favorite parts of London are the outer boroughs such as Camden and Highgate. Finding those local pubs and restaurants is really cool because they usually have some of the best food as well as the nicest people.

London was one of the best and most life changing experiences I have ever had and I can't wait to go back there one day. I hope these few tips help you out ill be sure to post more soon!
